Design Development
Phase 01: Expanding the Volume
We maintained the iconic long-roof wagon proportions but lowered the ride height and sculpted subtle wide-body fenders, refining its visual stance without compromising capability.
Phase 02: Variant Concepting
Rather than pushing the concept towards an extreme track build, the Spec-R direction focuses on a restrained performance aesthetic that preserves the Stagea’s everyday character.
Phase 03: Balancing Daily Utility
Estate cars are built for the practical; our study visualises the perfect intersection of spacious utility and responsive, engaging aesthetics.
Phase 04: Final Visualisation
The ultimate what-if scenario realised. A legendary family estate re-imagined to suit modern day requirements while honouring its core character.

The Stagea Spec-R imagines how Nissan’s cult estate could return today: practical, refined and recognisably Stagea, with a lower stance and more contemporary visual identity.
